Camp Association Mission Statement:
The objective of this association shall be to hold religious services as the association or its executive committee may deem advisable, and to promote through such services acceptance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, spiritual growth among believers, encouragement and support of missionary endeavours, and Christian fellowship.
The Grounds:
The Lord has blessed Beebe Camp with many buildings to be used to his glory. Some of the buildings on the grounds include: the tabernacle, a smaller building with wood heat being used for Bible studies and book store, a dining hall with sleeping accommodation on second level, a children`s chapel, youth meeting area with girls` dorm above, boys` dorm, and many cottages. The camp also has a number of RV sites with water and electric hook-ups. The greatest blessing of all is the presence of His Spirit on these grounds.
Position Available:
Full-time position is desirable; however part-time would also be given consideration if some part-time work in the community is available. Ministry focus would be on the Camp with some time also devoted to the community and the local church.
Qualifications:
- Spiritual life that is alive and growing
- Missionary passion for outreach and evangelism
- A love for children and youth
- A heart for Christian camping
- Formal training or experience in Christian work is desirable
- A reasonable knowledge of the Bible (the Word of God)
- Married couple is desirable, however will consider a mature single adult
Job Responsibilities:
Camp Ministry (July & August)
1. Develop a local summer camping ministry for:
a) Seniors
b) Christian workers (missionaries, pastors, S.S. teachers, etc.)
c) Families (single parents, etc.)
2. Organize spring and fall retreats for:
a) Special interest groups, such as:
- Father-Son
- Mother-Daughter
- Couples
- Single parents
b) One-Day Seminars on:
- Teaching Sunday School
- Youth Leadership
- Parenting
- Hunter Safety
- Ladies crafts & hobbies, etc.
3. Promote & fundraise for Camp programs
4. Co-ordinate camp retreats & rentals
5. Assist with and supervise Camp maintenance
Community Involvement
*Evangelism needed in both English and French*
1. Volunteer for community events
2. Visit retirement homes, the sick, and the shut-ins
3. Plan special community events such as musical concerts, Christmas dinners, Men’s breakfasts, etc.
Local Church (Winter months)
*Membership in local Advent Church is small and elderly*
Give leadership in:
a) Sunday School & Children’s Ministry
b) Youth activities
c) Home Bible studies and prayer
d) Visitation
e) Music, etc.
Salary & Accommodations:
Salary and accommodations are to be discussed.
Source of income could include:
- Camp Association
- Supporting constituency
- Part-time employment
- Local Church
