Camp Imadene is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director.
Camp Imadene is committed to presenting the good news of Jesus Christ and encouraging Christian growth through Bible teaching and service. Imadene provides weekly and weekend camps to children and families, as well as guest group services throughout the year. Camp Imadene is located on Mesachie Lake in the Cowichan Valley, B.C.
Responsibilities
The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of directors of the Island Christian Camping Society, the operating society of Camp Imadene, for overseeing the operations of Camp Imadene, including the administration, communication and volunteer areas. The E.D. will assist the Board in developing a vision and strategic plan for Imadene, and implementing the vision and strategic plan. The ED is also responsible for establishing the ministry tone and providing spiritual leadership to and on behalf of Imadene.
Qualifications
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates solid Biblical leadership, has a heart for young people, an understanding of their needs and is committed to active involvement in a local evangelical church. The applicant must be a team player and demonstrate leadership and administrative ability, have excellent oral and written communication skills, have experience in camp leadership, and be able to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and opinions . The applicant must also have the ability to effectively manage Camp staff and be effective in discerning gifting and motivating individuals for a wide range of ministry positions .
The E.D. must have the ability to personally affirm the organizations statement of faith as noted in the By-Laws.
